Master Acharavadee Wongsakon went on a personal trip to Phuket
On 17 May 2024, Master Acharavadee Wongsakon went on a personal trip to Phuket province to inspect the construction progress of Meditation Retreat Center. The project’s construction is overseen by Khun Ruang-aek, with Khun Chai-Sri Maneesri in charge of the Phuket part.
After the inspection, it was concluded that small changes in design are needed, as well as an additional building for foreign students to listen to Dhamma discourse. Master Acharavadee also would like a ‘bamboo tunnel’ built to create the greenery and cool down the temperature which is extremely high in broad daylight due to its vast area, following the clearance of rubber trees. This means we need to grow a lot of trees.
Moreover, Master Acharavadee plans to have the Mahamongkol Bhodhiyan Buddha Statue enshrined here to bring an auspice and create respectful atmosphere. The entire project is scheduled to be completed within October this year. After the completion, Master Acharavadee will visit the place to grow the Bhodi Tree and pray for holy blessings in November.
