In February 2015, Master Acharavadee Wongsakon and her students made a trip to Chiang Mai with
the intention to practice meditation and dedicate the merit to the souls of former dynasty of Lanna
Kingdom, of which capital city was Chiang Mai.
In former time, Lanna Kingdom was situated between Burma and Siam. It was independent state
covering most area in Northern part of Thailand. Through its history, it was continuously in battles both
internally and externally. Finally, it became part of Siam (Thailand), leading to an end of the monarchy
of Lanna.
Naturally, through such a long history of fighting, there had been souls suffering and some have not yet
rested in peace, especially the members of its last dynasty.
The two-day trip of meditation, followed by a dedication of merit to those souls was a virtuous deed,
easing the suffering souls and bringing positive energy to the land.
